This OAL Harridge baseball is signed by 23 members of the 1958 Detroit Tigers including HOFer Mel Ott in blue period ink rating an 8-9. Ott tragically passed away in a car accident in 1958 at age 49 and it is very unusual to find something from that year signed by him. Other signatures include Al Kaline, Billy Martin, Fred Hutchinson, Jim Bunning, Harvey Kuenn, Virgil Trucks, Jim Hegan, Frank Bolling, Tom Morgan, Gus Zernial, Tim Thompson, Ray Boone, Frank Lary, Reno Bertoia and Tom Henrich. All signatures are done in blue ink and rate an overall 7-8. The ball shows toning throughout with a light clear coat for protection. It is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
