In the 2013-14 NFL season, Russell Wilson established himself as a top-tier quarterback in the NFL by leading the Seattle Seahawks to a 13-3 regular season record—tying the best in franchise history—and eventually the franchise’s first Super Bowl championship. After clinching homefield advantage throughout the playoffs as the NFC’s No. 1 seed, the Seahawks first playoff matchup pinned them up against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. Wilson completed nine of 18 passes for 103 yards, but running Marshawn Lynch rumbled through the Saints defense to give the Seahawks a 23–15 in the Divisional round. The Seahawks continued on to defeat their division rival, the San Francisco 49ers, in the NFC Championship game for a spot in the Super Bowl. The Seahawks stamped their named in NFL history by dominating the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII, winning 43–8 for their first Super Bowl victory in franchise history. Russell won a Super Bowl in his second year in the NFL and was the second black quarterback to win a Super Bowl, joining Doug Williams. Inside on the rear collar is a swatch with “12” on it representing Seattle’s “12th Man”. Below is a “Nike” size “42” manufacturer’s tag with “SKILL” on it. Attached adjacent are two flag tags that read “2012” and “+4 LENGTH”. On the manufacturer’s tag, “1/11 DIV” is written in pen. On the v-neck is an official “NFL” shield logo. Player number “3” appears on the front and on the back in grey on lime green tackle twill. Player number “3” appears on each shoulder in grey tackle twill. On the left shoulder reads “SEAHAWKS”. Across the back reads player name “WILSON” in grey tackle twill on a blue mesh nameplate. Below the number on each shoulder is a “Nike” logo embroidered. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by Seattle Seahawks LOA that states “Game-Worn Russell Wilson #3 Home Jersey from 1.11.14 Seahawks vs. Saints”, and is signed by equipment manager Erik Kennedy. To the best of our knowledge, this is the only Russell Wilson playoff-worn jersey to be offered publicly.
