August 20, 2014 Hall Of Fame Catalog Auction (#42)
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on:
Six-time NBA Champion. Six-time NBA Finals MVP. Five-time regular season MVP. Ten-time All-NBA First Team. Nine-time NBA All-Defensive First Team. Ten-time NBA scoring champion. Fourteen-time All-Star. These are the stellar career accomplishments of the NBA’s greatest player Michael Jordan. In 1989-90, Jordan won one of his 10 scoring titles averaging 33.6 points per game. Jordan was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009 and was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. On the front left tail is a strip tag that reads “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for CHICAGO BULLS”. Below is a “MacGregor Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with a size “44” flag tag attached. The “Sand-Knit MacGregor” tag had been folded under and sewn into the shirt by the factory covering the small "44" flag tag has been properly affixed under the left seam. This is an atypical application and was presumably done because there was no correctly labeled size tags available. Adjacent are two white swatches with “89” and “2”LB” on them. On the right inseam is a “100% NYLON” tag with washing instructions. On the left chest is an official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the front reads “BULLS” painted in black with a white paint border. Player number “23” appears on the front and on the back in black on white vinyl lettering. Across the back reads player name “JORDAN” in white vinyl lettering. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA that states this jersey is sourced from a Joe Dumars charity auction.
