Robe and trunks screen-worn by Mr. T who played the character Clubber Lang in “Rocky III”, an installment of one of the most successful sports movie franchises in history. Black silk robe with white trim. On the back of each arm reads “CLUBBER LANG” embroidered in black stitching on a white silk stripe. On the back reads “CLUBBER LANG WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP” in white chain-stitching. On the front waist of the black silk shorts with white trim reads “CLUBBER” in black chain stitching. The left thigh area reads “CL” in white script stitching. These items were presented to us as screen-worn. Accompanied by an LOA from Frank Stallone that reads “The black and white robe that says Clubber Lang World Heavyweight Champ on the back and Clubber Lang up both sleeves and the black trunks with the white waistband that has the words Clubber and the initials CL on the left side of the shorts are from the film Rocky III and are 100% authentic.. Enjoy”.

The seven letters ("CLUBBER") that are sewn on to the waistband of the trunks were done by hand. There are a number of sewing inconsistencies that match up perfectly to the photo. The letter "C" in CLUBBER is smaller than the letter "L". This can be clearly seen, as there is more white space between the bottom of the "C" and the bottom edge of the waistband compared with the amount of white space below the "L". There is very little white space below the "ER" in CLUBBER. In addition, the gap between the "C" and the "L" is also wider than the gap between all of the other letters. You can also notice that the irregular shape of the bottom of the white waistband matches up perfectly to the photo from the film. Finally, the size and shape of the hand-sewn letters also match up perfectly. To view the high-resolution photomatch, click here.
